Armor Air History

Owner, James Robertson, 3 decades of experience, passion, and a commitment to doing what’s right, our founder’s journey is at the heart of our story.

Starting as an HVAC installer earning $6 per hour, he diligently worked on installing furnaces in custom homes, mastering the craft that later became the cornerstone of our company. Transitioning to a service tech role within the same company, he dedicated 15 years to honing his skills, ascending from an install manager to eventually becoming the General Manager.

A significant turning point came when the company faced adversity due to a devastating fire. However, from the ashes rose a new beginning. Armed with the knowledge acquired over the years, our founder decided to establish his own HVAC business in 2004.

Specializing in new construction HVAC work and residential replacements, the business thrived, eventually catching the attention of Lennox Corporate. The business was successfully sold, and our founder continued his journey as a General Manager overseeing Lennox’s Indianapolis locations and one in Louisville, KY.

When circumstances led to Lennox selling its businesses, our founder moved on, bringing his wealth of experience to another company where he assumed the role of General Manager. Yet, the desire to create something unique and impactful led him to venture into starting a new chapter in May of 2020, expanding its services to include Plumbing and Electrical.

From a modest beginning with three employees, the team has rapidly grown to 25 dedicated individuals. Rooted in the belief that “We Do What’s Right,” this motto is not just a slogan but a guiding principle instilled in every team member.

Distinguished as the only business that closes on Sundays to honor commitments to both God and Family, our goal extends beyond providing exceptional service. We aim to be a transformative force, not only for our customers but for every member who is a part of the team.
