Troubleshooting Your Water Heater Woes: What Could Be Ailing Your Home’s Hot Water System

Your water heater is a vital appliance in your home, and when it’s not working correctly, it can be a significant inconvenience. Here are some common issues that might be causing problems with your water heater:

  • Inadequate Hot Water: If your water heater produces less hot water than usual, sediment buildup in the tank, a malfunctioning thermostat, or a damaged dip tube may be the culprits. We can flush the tank and make necessary repairs to restore your hot water supply.
  • Water Leaks: Leaks from your water heater can result from various issues, including pressure valve problems, loose connections, or a corroded tank. We’ll identify the source of the leak and fix it efficiently.
  • Strange Sounds: Unusual noises coming from your water heater can signal sediment buildup, which can lead to inefficiency and damage. Our technicians can flush the tank to eliminate the noise and improve performance.

To address these water heater woes, contact Armor Air, your trusted source for water heater repair services in Whiteland, IN, and the surrounding areas. Our team of professionals is ready to provide prompt and reliable solutions to ensure you have a reliable source of hot water in your home.

Our old furnace needed costly repair so we replaced our furnace with a higher efficiency Goodman at a reasonable price. A week later it started to make a strange clicking noise. We contacted Armor Air to come diagnose the problem. A very nice tech named Fred Sergent investigated the sound and couldn't pinpoint the cause of the clicking because of all the metal in the furnace. The sound would travel throughout the furnace. He stated he hasn't seen this problem before. We both agreed that it could be coming from the contacts in the control board. He ordered a new board to be installed the next day. The next day two technicians named Shaun Moore and Austin Mikesell returned to install the new board. This didn't fix the click. They both said they have never experienced this problem before, so they dove deep into the furnace testing every component. This took hours of their time. Every time they thought they found the problem, it would still would make the clicking sound. They thought they narrowed down the problem and ordered a part to be installed the next day. Bright and early they returned and installed the part, but unfortunately the clicking continued. This was a real head scratcher. They dove back in and took the side of the plenum off and found the problem. The home builders had installed a sheet metal box in the floor for the supply air which restricted some of the heated air from going into the duct work raising the static pressure forcing some of the air to move back up into the furnace overheating the heat exchanger and making it pop from expansion and contraction. They removed the box and this solved the problem. No one could have anticipated this problem. Their dedication in this effort went above and beyond. I highly recommend Armor Air for all your HVAC needs and I will continue to use them in the future. Thanks Armor Air!
